Quietly pushin’ on …

A lull of magnitude nine (amount of weeks in-between!) in blog proceedings, however stuff has been a-happenin’ here at Woody’s Studio.

Participating once again in the Immanuel Arts Festival for 2018, which is held in late May, followed with entering into the Marie Ellis OAM Prize for Drawing to have a chance of being a finalist in August.

Home run! Caricatures for another wedding! This time for a lovely couple in Canada who just love their baseball team of the Toronto Blue Jays. A portrait commission has also come my way, where I can utilise my continual practise with soft pastels.

The next quirky installment of Woody and the Schlock Gang is to be released in the next week or so, and soon, a chance to find out what each of the characters are about – in the most unlikely of places around the Sunshine Coast! Keep those homo sapien eyes peeled …

The state of a yo-yo, yo …

What has eventuated the last few weeks? A completion of a caricature for one thing. A revamp underway on the online presence of Woody’s Studio. Completing steward duties for Architects of Air’s Arboria Luminarium, as part of the Horizon Festival held here, on the Sunshine Coast (Queensland, Australia). Incredible colour sensory overload. Unfortunately, this has resulted in contracting a virus. Joy. Oh, well, fortis in arduis.

A start been made on work for the upcoming Celebration of the Female Form exhibition, which may, or may not be a tad cheeky …

Amongst all this, this creative mind is one of a yo-yo state … the end of the year is approaching and decisions need to made when ‘drifty’ has come in to roost. Does that make sense?
