Kenilworth ArtsFest 2018 and a tormenting encroachment …

Well … participating in Kenilworth ArtsFest 2018 for the first time has been met with a lot of ups and downs. Going from a very budgetary frame job to a contemporary and modern finish was definitely an up! ‘1971’ (more information about this artwork will be available shortly) is all the more better for the gee-up and it is with thanks again to Lou Jaeger and Caloundra Art & Framing for their assistance and craftmanship.

Unfortunately, the down will be not being able to attend the days of the ArtsFest. Contracting a virus over two months ago has now been met with further challenges to conquer. Hopefully, sooner rather than later, I will recover, but not in time to enjoy this maiden voyage.

YOU, though, can take the voyage! Please, take the chance to have a little road trip to Kenilworth! ArtsFest will run from this evening, Friday 28 September, until the end of Monday 1 October. Outside the extraordinary artworks on display is the famous (or infamous???) Kenilworth Country Bakery, outstanding weatherboard homes, churches, dinkum dunnies and roaming countryside which appears to had some rain on it!

Go on! Do it for Kenilworth! Do it for all the artists! Have a squizz! Kenilworth ArtsFest 2018!

After the ABC comes Jez and Dougz …

Following ABC Sunshine Coast’s radio interview, today I had the great pleasure of discussing aspects of the spectrum and my art with Jez and Dougz on their 3WBC 94.1FM radio show, On The Spectrum, which is broadcasted across inner-east Melbourne and accessible online.

A great thank you to Jez and Dougz for allowing me on the show.

If interested, please find links to 3WBC 94.1FM and On The Spectrum’s Facebook page below.

‘Actuality’ actually finds a home.

Another successful participation exercise in the Immanuel Arts Festival has come to a close. The work was unsold, however finds a new home way down south, in a little place called Hobart, Tasmania. The power of today’s social media, I guess. Much thanks to the model, Krisztina, for the tireless efforts in getting this pose right. Bring on Immanuel Arts Festival 2019 …
